Robert Vargas unveiling of “Warrior Odyssey” Tony Alva Mural

Contemporary LA based artist Robert Vargas will officially unveil the first of several murals to be on display at The Kinney hotel as an ode to the rich artistic and cultural influence Venice has had on the world.
Known for his celebrated freehand approach, Vargas’ “Warrior Odyssey”, a 3-story mural, depicts the legendary Tony Alva who revolutionized skateboarding in the late 70’s and is one of the most influential skateboarders of all-time.

With special live performance by His Eyes Have Fangs– a hometown Los Angeles band with cosmic sounds blending surf, swells, and shimmer featuring members Tony Alva, Matthew Rainwater, Vulcho Bonev and Rachel Anne Rainwater.
